Allow us to share Dropbox with you

One Black Bear have been using Dropbox for about a month now and have to say, how did we share files with each other and clients before this?

So first up, for those of you that don't know, what is Dropbox?

Well in a nutshell, Dropbox is a desktop application (for Windows, Mac OS X, and soon on Linux) and storage service that just works. It's the easiest way to share and store files online and keep files in sync across your computers (quick video demo here).

Once registered, you simply install a small piece of software on to your system, then you are ready to go. You get a folder on your hard drive that allows you to share with anyone almost instantly.

You get access to a web based admin that allows you to set up your sharing options. If you wish to share with clients, then simply add your files into a public folder and simple send them a link.

As it is still only in beta, it has a lot of cool improvements coming up. The only drawback is the 2gb allowance per account but we find this keeps us on top of good house keeping and the fact that we have six accounts means that we really have about 12gb of space.

The beta is still invite-only, but if you register your interest as we did, you'll find you should get an invite in a week or two.

This is certainly a service that we will be paying for once it comes out of beta.
