Wildfire

Wildfire is the code name of the CMS we have developed to work along side the PHP Wax framework (see previous post) and provides a simple, functional interface to control the data on the website.

As the framework is targeted towards developers there is some integration to be done manually, but it's fairly straightforward.The CMS is actually a plugin to the framework and makes use of the extendable nature of PHP Wax making it easy to install.

Once the CMS is integrated in to your web app/site it makes updating, adding and generally controlling the content on your site simple and is very flexible. You can extend the CMS further to include new “modules” to add parts to your website; for example you could add a new theme “module” to control how your site looks and feels, ala wordpress.

To coincide with the PHP Wax re-write we are also improving Wildfire to make use of the new features and hopefully do a joint release of the two.
