+ PreviousNow in its third year, our charity advertising campaign for Birmingham homelessness charity SIFA Fireside returns to shine a light on a seasonal problem that never gets a holiday. Their donations drop in summer – but the need doesn’t.
Following on from last year’s subverted postcards, this latest campaign mimics the adverts you’d find in a high street travel agent’s window. They might seem to promise bargain getaways, but look a little closer and the offers aren’t quite what they seem. No pool, sun lounger, ocean views or breakfast buffet. Just a patch of pavement and a view of the street, from street level.
These are the deals nobody wants.
As before, this campaign is designed to raise awareness of SIFA Fireside’s summer shortfall in donations, vital for keeping their Homeless Intervention Service running. This service provides food, clothing, showers, health clinics and housing advice – helping adults experiencing homelessness to move forward, not just get by.
This charity advertising campaign appears on billboards across the city, thanks to generous media space once again donated by Ocean Outdoor.
A timely reminder that while many get ready to grab the best spot by the pool, others are just trying to get through the night.
