Castel Froma Neuro Care is a specialist care home based in Leamington Spa which provides round-the-clock care for vulnerable residents who have complex neurological conditions such as brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and Huntington’s Disease. Other residents have suffered strokes or been injured in road traffic accidents.

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic they had seen two thirds of its 130 clinical staff unable to work due to Coronavirus restrictions. Some were unable to come to work because they were self-isolating or suffering from underlying health conditions. Either way the situation was critical as without the staff, patients would ultimately have to move into NHS hospitals and put even more stress on the system as well as themselves in danger.

Castel Froma Neuro Care turned to us for help. We developed a PR and Social Media campaign for them to raise awareness of the crisis and get healthcare professionals to help. The campaign ‘Work From Froma’ ran through paid social ads and an accompanying PR campaign supported it to drive wider awareness.

The campaign was a huge success. It was picked up by BBC Midlands Today running on lunchtime, 6pm and 10pm news, BBC CWR Radio and various media outlets. Castel Froma Neuro Care had over 50 applications from the appeal and importantly avoided any patients having to go into hospital for care.
