Building a new brand for Filon

Filon approached One Black Bear to review their business and develop a marketing strategy and roadmap, alongside a brand refresh.

The challenge? Investment in brand and marketing had historically been viewed as a bit of an add-on, and therefore wasn’t working as hard as it could.

Our research with employees of Filon, as well existing and prospect customers, revealed so much positivity around the company and brand – they’re trusted, and always going above and beyond to deliver. We needed to shape this into a compelling offering that the MD could take internally and win budget to create and roll out. We needed to help him make the case that marketing and brand positioning needed investment.

The client also needed to be brave. The existing presentation of their brand was dated and un-inspiring. They needed to bring some emotion into their comms – it’s not all about product specs, it’s about the very heart of the business and its brilliant expertise.
